Fees

The entrance fee to Grand Canyon National Park is $25 dollars per private vehicle. If you choose to enter by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, or as a non-commercial group it is $12 dollars per person. Children of 15 years of age or younger do not have to pay this fee. The fee includes both the South Rim and the North Rim and is valid for seven days. The acceptable forms of payment are cash, travelers’ checks, charge cards, and personal or commercial checks.

There are a number of passes also available for purchase if you plan to visit the Grand Canyon more than once a year. There is a Grand Canyon National Park Annual Pass that is $50 dollars and is valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. Another option is the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass which cost $80 dollars, but is for all Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee.

If you wish to stay at a Campground instead of a lodge, you will have to pay a fee. The fee for the Desert View Campground is $12 dollars nightly per camping space. If you are a holder of an Interagency Senior Pass, Interagency Access Pass, Golden Age Passport, or Golden Access Passport you only pay half-price. There are no utility, water, or sewer hook-ups available at the Desert View Campground. If you plan to stay at the North Rim Campsites, the fee a bit more costly ranging from $18-$25. Golden Age or Access passport holders pay only half price at North Rim Campsites, as well.  After mid-October, some campsites at the North Rim Campground with limited services (portable toilets) will be available until snow closes Highway 67.
