What to Pack

When packing for any trip, comfort should be a priority. The most important item to pack when visiting the Grand Canyon is footwear. Whether you are hiking or just an explorer, comfortable shoes are important. It is important that shoes or boots fit properly to avoid blisters. Also, it is advised to pack an extra pair of shoes for when your shoes get muddy or dusty after walking through certain trails.

Also, when you are packing clothing you should be prepared for extreme weather; because of the Grand Canyon’s desert climates visitors can experience sudden changes in weather. Hot days are known to sometimes have cold nights and sometimes there are even thunderstorms. So, it is important to keep that in mind when packing. Long-sleeves shirts are advised for both kinds of weather, because when it’s too hot a long-sleeved can help protect you from the sun.
